The wind power industry in China also develops rapidly, with an installed capacity second only to America and Spain, and the total installed capacity ranking fifth around the world. It was estimated that China installed 3,449 MW of wind capacity in 2007, with the total installed capacity of 6,050 MW which has exceeded the government's expected target of 2010. " |
China National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Standard Parts (CNCQSTSP) was officially approved by the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) to be one of its members on May 6, 2009, turning out to be the first third-party testing organization of WWEA, which provides itself with the advantages of further building the platform for the testing and research and development of the internationalized green energy, and helps establish a greater presence in the application of top-end standard parts. As a new green energy, wind power develops much faster in recent years. The global installed wind power capacity reached 94,100MW, up 27% year-on-year by the end of 2007, and reached its highest of 100,00 MW in April 2008. In America, the wind energy installed capacity is second only to natural gas, while in EU it even takes the lead in other new energy. The total installed capacity in China is projected to exceed 50,000 MW by 2015 based on the current growth rate. The rapid growth of wind power generation industry at home and abroad has brought a severe shortage of the wind machines. One wind turbine needs about 8,000 parts, and many of the parts suppliers need to spend several years to increase their capacity. CNCQSTSP has fully realized that the great potential development of the current wind power industry, putting it as its focus on testing and developing. In early April 2009, CNCQSTSP organized a team to participate in the 3rd China (Shanghai) International Wind Energy Exhibition, achieving some potential cooperation on quality controlling and testing after talking with producers and suppliers. The testing ability and high qualification of CNCQSTSP have aroused the attention of many international manufacturers with high reputation, which are all showing their willingness to entrust the CNCQSTSP with the conduct of quality controlling and testing. As of the end of April, the business of wind power generation standard parts of CNCQSTSP has further developed, with the new business accounting for 5.7%. In order to further raise its popularity and influence in the area of wind power generation, CNCQSTSP actively connected with the WWEA, introduced its testing capacity and developing ability, and finally gained the recognition of WWEA and its membership as well. |
